Zero Net Energy

What is Zero Net Energy (ZNE)?

A Zero Net Energy (ZNE) Building is a building whose total energy consumption is equal to both the amount of renewable energy created on the site, or in other definitions by renewable energy sources offsite.

How do ZNE multi-family projects fit into Renewable U Energy’s mandates and investment plan?

While our initial goal was the construction of waste-to-fuel energy facilities, a ZNE real estate investment aligns nicely with RUEI’s mandate to invest in strictly ESG projects.
In a market where a lot of the other projects are considered moderate to mid to high risk, real estate helps to diversify our investments in renewables on our portfolio. It creates a solid base of revenues and returns for our investors while we take on the emerging tech projects that will ultimately give us significantly higher returns as those projects mature.
